Tierra del Fuego National Park

The cruise company threw in a tour of the park before boarding the ship. The park was easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve personally seen. Beavers and salmon were introduced to the area a long time ago, and are problematic for the ecosystem.

You can’t generally forage in the park, but apparently you can get a permit to eat salmon you catch, because the salmon are such a problem for the other fish. They tried to get people to eat the beavers too, but the beavers tasted horrible, and their fur wasn’t good for the fur trade because of climate differences.
